In 2003, Jenni Matz was pursuing an MLS degree in Boston. She was working as project archivist of the Mazzone Collection at UMASS. Reading into the history of this landmark case, it was apparent that the largest public works project in American to come in on time and under budget, was a success based on the doings of a single man: Federal District Court A. David Mazzone. Matz solicited the only comprehensive interview about the historic case the Judge would ever give. The resulting documentary also features former Governor Michael Dukakis, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, former MWRA Director Paul Levy, former EPA Director Michael Deland, and just about every other significant voice in this case.
